Welcome to Metaneva,

Metaneva is an open source workbench to analyze and evaluate single unit recordings and reaction times for both rat and monkey experiments. It is similar to Brainmap and uses and contributes to the ontology of the OBI Consortium and NeuroLex.

Metaneva attempts to provide the cognitive sciences with a paradigm-based analysis using experimental similarity to confirm, clarify and refine current visions on neural mechanism and functional connectivity. We rely on a community driven approach promoting interoperability and data exchange.

We are a framework based on 3 elements: conceptual work (aka 'why we need this workbench'), data analysis (aka 'the workbench') and ontology design (aka 'the concepts and vocabulary' used in the workbench). All three go together and are all part of the bigger object: maximize and analyze animal neuronal data sets.

We currently are stable, though it must be noted that Metaneva v1 is a test release. With Metaneva v2 we plan to release a stable, scalable and ontology-centric workbench.
