With our stable release of v1, we're now officially entering the next phase of the workbench. With v1 being a clear test bank for the storage of cognitive neuroscience experiments, we now need to incorporate all the issues we ran into and transform the workbench from 'production/stable' to a 'mature' tool. This will be fully dependent on the evaluation we're currently preparing and which will be published on the wiki.
For those familiar with the tool, the evaluation will be concentrated on the following topics:
- Improve data coding scheme
- Extend ontology: we currently run into limitations with regards to the position of objects, subjects and environment. In cognitive neuroscience experiments, it's crucial to know and store where a particular object is presented, which currently is hard to store/encode. The same applies for the timing during the various trials
- Flexibility: we need to assess what we choose to develop: flexible systems or specific systems for specific data sets.
